Wow, I just received blogger awards from Biltix (actually, I received the first two about a month ago but haven’t gotten around to posting them yet). The three awards are:
Thank you, Biltrix!
Biltrix is my “mentor” blog so to speak. Its authors courageously address the thorny issues in which our culture is engulfed these days, and with sheer logic, they expose the fallacies that threaten to destroy the moral fiber of society. Thank you, Biltrix, for taking on the difficult task of evangelizing our secularized culture.
Now the rules for accepting these awards are as follows:
- Add a picture of the award to your blog post.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
- Nominate 5-10 other Bloggers and inform those selected that they have been nominated.
- For the Illuminating Blogger Award and One Lovely Blog Award (not the Reader Appreciation Award) say 7 interesting things about yourself.
As I am new to this blogging thing and am not yet familiar with my fellow Christian bloggers, Biltrix also did me the favor of suggesting nominees for these awards. Here are the ones I would like to nominate (any of the above awards that you have not yet received):
- Lame Housewife
- 8 Kids and a Buisness
- Catholic1
- Gracie’s Quest
- Foraging Squirrel
- Catholic Nomad
- My Hope Box
- Keep Life Legal
- Fraangelico Institute
- Public Catholic
Okay… Now the hard part. For the Illuminating and Lovely Blog Awards, I need to say 7 interesting (interesting being subjective) things about myself. Here goes:
- I met and married my one and only college sweetheart. I’ll withhold the number of years we’ve been married, but it’s quite a few.
- He and I converted to the Catholic faith during the first year of our marriage.
- I’ve have been blessed with two of the dearest and best adult sons a mother could have.
- I’m a fool for my pets. They have taken over my home and practically get away with murder. It’s embarrassing.
- I love classical and traditional music.
- I’m passionately pro-life.
- I don’t like talking about myself.
I would like to end this post saying a few things about LifeVigil and the direction I envision going with it. While there are many pro-life advocates who do battle with the culture of death, I’m convinced more voices are needed. I’m joining the crusade online because:
- The MSM refuse to speak truthfully about the sanctity of life and will not acknowledge that abortion is murder.
- Opponents of life are various and sundry, and lurking not just within government and the media, but also within corporations, religious institutions, the healthcare industry, colleges and universities, and have infiltrated many time-honored organizations.
- It was instilled in me from my youth that I have a moral obligation to do my part to leave the world a better place than I found it.
Up until now, I have been sharing links to top pro-life articles on the internet. While I continue to do this, I plan to dedicate more time to writing about these issues.
Thank you. I will try to pass the award along tomorrow. Great blog! God bless:)
Thank you for the great articles you’ve posted. There’s nothing lame about your blog!
🙂
Wow! I am surprised! That is very nice of you (and Biltrix) and much appreciated. I look forward to following your blog 🙂
Your’re most welcome.
Oh, Wow! Thank you, Beverly, (and vicarious James) for the Reader Appreciation Award. The mission statement, so to speak, of Life vigil is one that is very much needed. I look forward to following your blog. Congratulations on your awards on your blog!
You’re most welcome. Thanks for your kind words.
That is so kind of you! I appreciate that so much, especially after a long drive and tumbling into a new hotel room feeling weary. Yes, i will pass them along as soon as I can. Thank you again!
Good morning, LifeVigil! It is my duty to inform you, according to the guidelines for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award, that Biltrix has nominated you for it: http://biltrix.com/2012/08/04/very-inspiring-blogger-award/. If you so choose to accept, it will be our pleasure. Thanks for your inspiring blog.
